we evacuated.
we were not in a direct mandatory evacuation area, but a lot of people on our block started packing and leaving, and when we heard on the news that it had gotten close to our area, we left.

rather than be woken up and told to run out of your house, we decided to leave with time.

so we packed up the kids, a weeks worth of clothes, pictures, and left san diego.

my thoughts and prayers are with everyone right now that is dealing with this.
