Our Family was invited to watch an advanced screening of The Nutcracker movie last week, I promise I will not spoil it. I had never seen or read any version of the Nutcracker so I was excited. I’m not sure how the original story or play go, but this movie took my breath away! The scenes, dances and story was so beautiful and full of magic. Nutcracker Soldier Rice Krispie Treat Recipe & Coloring Pages

After the movie I was definitely inspired and wanted to share all about it, but it’s a tad bit difficult not to spoil it. So I will let you form your own magical opinion. I am including some fun printable coloring pages and games for your Family, as well as this adorable recipe for a rice krispie Nutcracker Soldier. There are many coloring pages and games to choose from, but you don’t have to choose; print them all!

Nutcracker Soldier Rice Krispie Treat Recipe

Ingredients:

Directions:

Cover the top third of the Rice Krispie Treat in black icing. Set aside until dry.

Add the yellow dots and a yellow triangle for the hat.
Cover the bottom third in red icing and let dry.

Next pipe white icing along the waist of the of the red bottom half of the Rice Krispie Treat as a belt and a small rectangle as a label.

Apply white icing of the sides of the face for hair (below the hat and stopping just past the start of the uniform)
Put the candy sprinkle mustache centered directly on the bottom part of the face.

Place 2 black nonpareils sprinkles for the eyes. (Just below the white brim on the hat, centered)

To complete the face place 2 pink confetti sprinkles for the cheeks.
Add 4 golden yellow icing dots on the label of the uniform (2 on each side)
Pipe white icing along the bottom of the hat as the brim. Set aside to dry.
Set aside to dry completely.
Using a black edible marker draw 2 thick lines from left to right of the golden yellow dots to complete the uniform.
Set aside to dry completely before serving.
